Olzep 20 mg Capsule 10 is predominantly used to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach. This medicine is part of the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class.
In addition to managing GERD, this capsule is also recommended for managing heartburn, peptic ulcer disease (including gastric and duodenal ulcers), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, erosive oesophagitis, and for eradicating H. pylori bacteria when used in combination with antibiotics. These conditions are all related to excess stomach acid, and this medicine helps by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces.
