How Festive-Dee Eye/Ear Drops works Festive-Dee Optic Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ofloxacin, Dexamethasone, and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating formulation which moistens the eyes/ears.
